Weight loss jump start after gastric bypass?

I had gastric bypass about 7 months, I have been in that stupid plateau stage for about a month now. Which normal I know, but I have been stuck at 80 lbs weight loss for a month. I just cant seem to get beyond the 180 mark on the scale. Any suggestions from other gastric bypass patients would be great! Not getting discouraged, I know it will come off, just want to know if there is anything I can do to help it along again!

The pattern for losing weight is not difficult – eat less food and exercise more – the difficulties surface when we in reality try to put that into operation! Ahhh..the plateau..it ***** doesn’t it? Like you know, this stage will pass. Just stick with the diet, stick with your excercise and it will pass. I was stuck at months 8-9 and I uppped my walking by a mile a day and started losing weight again. I’m now walking 4-5 miles a day, 5 days a week. I’m one year out of surgery and I’ve lost 135 pounds…only 40 more to go!!
Just don’t be discouraged, it’s phase. Just keep on keeping on and you’ll be fine!!

Maintain a diary, dedicated solely to the purpose of weight loss. Keep a track of your calorie intake, the exercise routine, and its effects on your net weight. Record your weight at the start of each week and compare it with the previous results. Observe the trend. In case it has increased, seek a reason for it.
