I had Lap Band 4-16-08 and I am down 23 pounds and I haven’t had my first fill yet. I eat the diet and I walk. I will never regret it. It was an “easy” surgery for me. I never had pain, just a little discomfort from where the port is located and never even got the pain medicine filled. I have had two knee replacements and a metal rod and screws put in my back so this surgery was a walk in the park for me. I started at 320 and now I am under 300 and I haven’t been that weight since I had a heart attack in 2006. I have lost over 50% of my insulin and that is a great feeling and I will be put back on oral meds for diabetes in two weeks. So it has helped me. Good Luck if you decide to do it.
